Julia Grassmick is a 2 year old little girl with a bubbly personality, upbeat attitude...and a spinal cord injury caused by a blood clot.
Julia's parents, who live in Kelowna, BC, have been struggling since October, 2015 to find therapy and treatments that will help secure the highest quality of life possible for Julia.
In financial support of Julia and her family, Dakoda's Comedy Lounge and Kelowna Remax are hosting a Comedy Night Fundraiser on Friday, July 15th, 2016.
The Comedy night will take place at Dakoda's Comedy Lounge at 1524 Harvey Avenue, Kelowna BC. The performances will feature Kelowna's funniest Comedians, with a suggested donation of $10 and 100% of the proceeds going to the Grassmick family.

On Saturday, July 16th, 2016 Kelowna BC's Across the Lake Swim Society is host their annual "Across the Lake Swim" event.
Continuing a tradition started in 1949, hundreds of competitive swimmers and casual swim enthusiasts of varying ages and ability will complete a 2.1 kilometer swim across Okanagan Lake.
A mix of Kelowna residents and summer visitors will challenge themselves, with the assistance of their support teams, and cross the lake starting from Old Ferry Wharf in West Kelowna, and finish on the beach at Kelowna City Park.
The Across the Lake Swim Society utilizes this event to fund their non-profit charitable activities, and to promote the importance of swimming ability and awareness of water safety.
